Good stuff! Some have caught the vision; many have not. Bless those who have.

Can He Do It?
The National Commander (Commissioner Izzy Gaither) was brilliant as usual (he served as my CS for a short period of time). I was encouraged to hear him repeatedly use the phrase, “release and empower,” during the duration of his challenge. I know he meant it, but here is the 64 million dollar (inflation) question, CAN HE DO IT? “Release and Empower!” It is easy to say, but very difficult to do, believe me.

Core Values!
These pages have been silent lately. That’s because I have been so engrossed in a mammoth creative project that there has been no creativity left over; the kind of creativity that these pages demand. Whilst researching for this project, I happened on the 12 core values of National Community Church, which are so apropos and relevant to what I am now preoccupied with (details forthcoming over the summer months).
I first posted these core values back in 2007 and I believe it’s time for a reposting. Take a moment and evaluate your ministry’s core values in light of these.
“NCC's twelve core values are part of the DNA of National Community Church. They are both descriptive and prescriptive of who we are as a church.”
• Expect the unexpected
• Irrelevance is irreverence
• Love people when they least expect it and least deserve it
• Playing it safe is risky
• Pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on you
• Everyone is invaluable and irreplaceable
• Everything is an experiment
• You cannot out give God
• Maturity does not equal conformity
• Go the extra mile
• It's never too late to be who you might have been
• Do it right and do it big”
Now, I’d attend a church that practices (not just preaches) these core values! Wouldn't you?
